THE LOCAL ART are a four piece indie band from Japan formed in 1996 by Satoshi Okada(Vo.&Dr.) and Ikko Ono(Ba.) as band name "SHAMPOOHAT" In 2002, they changed their name to "THE LOCAL ART" and Yokouchi Takemasa(Gt.) and Manabu Inagaki(Ba.) joined the band with Ikko changing to Guitar. This band is know for the unusual band composition where Drummer is the Vocal.
