About The Laurie Johnson Orchestra
Laurie Johnson (born Lawrence Reginald Ward Johnson on 17 February 1927 in Hampstead, United Kingdom) is a British film and television composer and band leader, known for many songs, scores, soundtracks and tunes but perhaps best known as the man behind the world famous theme song for British TV series of the 1960s, The Avengers. Johnson also performed as the conductor of The Laurie Johnson Orchestra.
