Often called the Tex-Mex Beatles, The Krayolas began life as a '70s teenage Chicano power pop garage band in San Antonio, Texas. The critically-acclaimed indie act recorded two albums, "Kolored Music" (1982) and "Dead End Life" (1987) and several vinyl 45s beginning in 1977. Regional hits included "All I Do Is Try," "Aw Tonight," "Cry Cry, Laugh Laugh," "Christmas Time," "Happy Go Lucky," "Sunny Day" and "Alamo Dragway." In 2007, The Krayolas released "Best Riffs Only," a 16-song compilation of out-of-print vinyl singles.
