
About The Knights
There is more than one group known as The Knights. 1) The Knights were a 1960s band and the brainchild of producer Gary Usher to take advantage of the surf and hot rod music that was popular in the day. Featuring session players The Wrecking Crew including Glen Campbell and Tommy Tedesco on guitars, Leon Russell on keyboards and Hal Blaine on drums whose work can be heard on hundreds of '60s hits. Most the group's repertoire were covers of Beach Boys songs such as "I Get Around," though there were a few original songs, such as "Hot Rod High.
