There are several bands/acts called The Industry. 1. The Industry is a Dutch indie 'supergroup' (of sorts) that released a self-titled album in late 2019. Key figure in the project is Willem Smit (of Canshaker Pi and Personal Trainer), who in the summer of 2019 travelled to the Dutch island of Vlieland with a string of friends from the Dutch indie scene, including Pip Blom, Jaap van der Velde of The Homesick, Arie van Vliet of Lewsberg, trumpet player Ian Cleaver, Lena Hessels, Marnix Visscher of Price and Cees Paris of Steve French.
