About The Hype
There are / have been at least three different bands named The Hype. 1. The Hype was a young Britpop band from Haarlem, The Netherlands. Having won a bunch of talent awards in The Netherlands, including the InHolland Popprijs and the Rob Acda Award, they released their debut EP The Hype Under Construction (2006) to critical acclaim. It then took them five years to come up with a full-length album: Have You Heard The Hype? finally came out in 2011, charting at #53 in The Netherlands.
