The Haigs (1963-1968) was a garage beat group from The Hague, The Netherlands. The band name was printed on some of their single sleeves as Haigs, but The Haigs is the preferred spelling, the band name phonetically referring to their home town. The Haigs were founded in 1963 by Frank van Leijen (vocals/harmonica) and Jaap Rog (guitar/vocals) and were soon known as a notoriously dysfunctional bunch in the blossoming The Hague scene. This was mainly due to Van Leijen's excessive alcohol consumption
