The Freed Unit Hailing from Leicestershire, United Kingdom, The Freed Unit deliver a diverse, adventurous, experimental, art-pop sound, with a quintessentially English feel. The 'Unit' formed in 1996, and have released numerous 7” singles, E.P.s, and CD albums over the years. Their single Widdershins was placed at No. 31 in John Peel’s 1998 Festive Fifty.
