There are at least two artists called The Exception: 1) Pop group from Birmingham, England, late 1960s. Members: Alan "Bugsy" Eastwood, Roger Hill, Dave Pegg (left in 1967), John Rowlands, Malcolm Garner. 2) Hip Hop artist: He was nick named The Exception when he was in middle school. He played basketball his entire life until deciding not to play at the college level. He got his name from one of his black all-star teammates in sixth grade who said that ‘white boys can’t jump, but you’re the exception.
