About The Electronic Dictionary
The Electronic Dictionary was founded in Vienna, Austria by two Americans Brett and Matt in summer 2007. They quickly added Simon as a third member and then later Philip. Their genre as listed on their myspace page is "fantasy and historical fiction" but this is probably just an attempt to avoid the tired old "indie rock" label. Their influences start at Grandaddy and Pavement and go on to NWA and ska and country with a little bit of The Police and The Cars thrown in for good measure. http://www.myspace.com/electronicdictionary
