About The Dickbrains
The Dickbrains were a seminal first-wave Louisville punk rock group that included vocalist/keyboardist Douglas Maxson, later of Your Food, drummer Charles Schultz (also of Your Food and Antietam) with vocalist Tari Barr (Your Food, Antman, and Grayson Hall), as well as brother/sister team Alec Irwin and Catherine Irwin, the latter of whom co-founded the well-known alternative roots band, Freakwater. Their recorded output is available on the well-received compilation Bold Beginnings: An Incomplete Collection of Louisville Punk 1978-83.
