About The Dance
The Dance were a spin off from the band the Model Citizens. After a brief career and an EP produced by John Cale the Model Citizens split into Polyrock and The Dance. Both drew inspiration from the minimalist movement and Philip Glass produced some of the Polyrock albums. The Dance had an EP, Dance For Your Dinner, and two LPs, In Lust and Soul Force. The band was funkier than the typical new wave bands of the era and fronted by a sexy Eugenie Diserio.
