About The Dameans
The Dameans (pronounced DAY-mee-unz) were a quintet formed at Notre Dame University in 1967. Darryl Ducote, Gary Ault, Mike Balhoff, Dave Baker. and Buddy Cesar were all seminary students who wanted to modernize the liturgy. They combined folk music with Catholicism, releasing a total of thirteen albums over their career. They played their own instruments on their debut album with Ducote, Cesar and Ault on guitar, Balhoff handling upright bass chores and Baker on tambourine for 1969's TELL THE WORLD.
