The Cowslingers played their unique brand of cowpunkabilly from 1991 to 2003, leaving a slew of indie releases in their wake. With one foot in underground indie garage punk, and the other in the gray area between alt-country and rockabilly, The Cowslingers offered up a unique sound. As an illustration of the band’s unique blend of cowpunkabilly, The Cowslingers were voted the 1 Country Band in Cleveland by the readers of the Cleveland Free Times in 1999 and then voted Cleveland's Best Punk Band in 2000.
