The Chamber Strings formed in 1997 in Chicago, IL, by singer/songwriter Kevin Junior and drummer/percussionist Anthony Illarde. That same year they released their debut album Gospel Morning , in collaboration with several musicians. But it wasn't until 1999, with the definitive line up completed with Tim Fowler, Jason Walker and Carolyn Engelmann, that the album was reissued, and the started getting attention from the musical press with the release of singles like Everyday is Christmas or Telegram.
