About the big ride
the big ride are a fluterific band from Berlin, Germany, combining elements of rock, folk, acid jazz and even classical music. The use of the transverse flute causes associations with Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull. The sound of the two saxophone players of the band, smooth, loungy bass-lines and almost psychedelic guitar solos give them distinctively a sound quite of their own. Their musical ambitions now go more towards danceable NuJazz, but many of their songs are also great for easy-listening.
