About The Bet
The Bet was een Belgische popgroep uit begin jaren tachtig. De band bestond uit zanger en songschrijver Mark Vanhie, gitarist Rik Aerts, bassist Gerd Keppens en Guido Van Milleghem (drums). In 1981 had The Bet in België een bescheiden hit te pakken met “Don't Talk to the Liar”. Datzelfde jaar brachten ze hun debuutalbum uit, “Facing Fate” (EMI), dat relatief goed ontvangen werd. De plaat werd opgenomen in het Engelse Strawberry Studios in een productie van Martin Lawrence
