
Formed in Detroit, towards the end of 1981, by former Negative Approach bassist (and Real Threat fanzine editor) Pete Zelewski, the Allied combined the best elements of Midwest hardcore with English punk and Oi. With their slow aggressive sound, the band were heavily influenced by US bands like The Effigies and Iron Cross and offered an alternative to their thrash/hardcore Midwest counterparts.
