Shoegaze / alternative rock band from Wakefield The Air Was Thick is a group of three boys who make music that sounds like something between shoe-gaze and alternative rock in a house near Wakefield. They started doing so in the freezing winter of 2010 after the demise of their old bands, Candid Squash & Lover Octave. Right now TAWT are working towards recording their first EP which will be released independently through the band around March 2011.
