About Telenn Gwad
Taking its name from the song by Alan Stevell, the Russian folk-project Telenn Gwad began in 1995 presenting a mix of Bretonish, Scottish and Irish ethnic music. They had been existing as a trio of Oleg (vocals/guitar), Pavel (flute) and Roman (contrabass) until 1999 when the latter was replaced by violincellist Andrey. After appearing on some folk compilations, they finally managed to release their debut album Time When Poets Taught Angels To Love in 2003, recorded six years before, and out only on cassettes.
