Originally concepted in 1998, tears like Atreyu consisted of Steven Knol drums, Seth McCarroll synth/lead vocals, Jed Wilbanks bass and Nik Johnson guitar/vocals. S Shortly after the demise of tears like Atreyu approximately one million shitty grindcore bands popped up that resembled tears like Atreyu. Hmm? Generic? I think not!! Before its time? CERTAINLY! tears was known for wild and obnoxious behavior on stage as well as sporadic costume changes that involved members playing in cardboard costumes and also playing almost down right naked.
