About Takehisa Kosugi

Takehisa Kosugi (小杉武久, Tokyo, Japan, 14 March 1938 - 12 October 2018) was a Japanese composer, violinist and performer working in the field of contemporary classical music. He is associated with the Fluxus movement, worked with John Cage and David Tudor, and has served as music director for the Merce Cunningham Dance Company. He was also a member of Taj Mahal Travellers. Kogusi studied musicology at the Tokyo University of Arts, graduating in 1962.
