About Takamba Super Onze
Legendary group from Gao, Super 11 plays a particular kind of music called "Takamba", which means "take the hand" in Songhaï. The musicians play with calabashes and traditional three strings guitars. They are accompanied with songs and dances, in a perfect harmony. Featured in every great cultural events in Mali, Super 11 incarns the voice of Gao, the town of Askias in Mali, and makes us discover, by its songs and dances, one of the most original sides of Malian cultural diversity.
