Taiyo Shirai is a Japanese American composer and music producer known for his work under the aliases Taiyo Ky (chill r&b) and Mr. Shirai (lo-fi jazzhop). He was born in Yokohama, Japan, but has since relocated to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. His musical endeavors are characterized by a fusion of hip-hop beats and sincere singer-songwriter elements, aiming to interweave cozy lo-fi textures with subtly ironic tales of romance.
