About Swing De Gitanes
The ensemble was established in 2007 with the objective of bringing Gypsy Swing music to Israeli audiences. The ensemble has already given over 300 performances which weave a musical tale of the two fingered founder of the genre – Django Reinhardt and his Gypsy music. Their repertoire includes the fabulous compositions of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli, popular songs from 1920's - 1940's Paris, contemporary Gypsy jazz and original compositions with unique arrangements that incorporate elements of Yiddish songs
