SweetHaven was founded in late 2001 by songwriter Matt Mattson and guitarist Gentry Lee. Since then, there have been many lineups. Matt and Gentry are the only original band members. But their partnership accounts for all of the songwriting and arranging. SweetHaven gained notoriety among Utahans after their songs began appearing in Mormon-based films that are so popular among the Mormon culture. The song "Go Back" has made them local icons.
