About Swanifant
Swanifant sprouted from a tangled bunch of loops and improvised noise in Dylan’s garage in Santa Cruz the Summer of 2005. This mythical beast grew until it had consumed Ryan and Danny and two guys named Jon. Swanifant continued to chase the sound in living rooms and garages, sometimes as just one or two people, sometimes as more. The band played with mixtures of organic and synthesized sounds, buzzing and crackling alongside the braying of sea lions and cackling of drunk college students in the cool Santa Cruz night.
