This group uses themes and poetic forms from ancient Finnish chants placed into modern choral forms. The name means "The Time of the Wolf," in Finnish mythology the wolf is associated with the creation of iron (it is mentioned in the creation spell of iron) and the name of the group may allude to the post-Roman iron age during which the Finns arrived in Finland and which is most often associated with the Finnish chants and spells. The genre of music could best be described as Nordic folk or choral.
