About Stubby Kaye
Clarion-voiced vocalist and character actor whose secondary roles in musical films often saw him walking off with the show. This phenomenon can best be seen in the films "Guys and Dolls" as Nicely-Nicely Johnson, in "Li'l Abner" as Marrying Sam and, in the comedy western "Cat Ballou", where he is teamed to great effect with Nat "King" Cole. He was fat, funny, strangely charismatic and had a voice like a trumpet.
