A band formed by singer Roger Chapman and guitarist Charlie Whitney after dissolving the quirky and highly original British rock outfit Family. Their first album was released in May 1974 (Streetwalkers), followed by Downtown Flyers (Oct 1975), their best known album was Red Card (May 1976) which preceded Vicious But Fair (Jan 1977). The band also featured [artist}Bobby Tench . Their music was an extraordinarily atmospheric mix of heavy R&B and funk
