About Still Water
Still Water are the fictional band at the center of the 2000 film "Almost famous". In the film, Jason Lee plays the frontman and vocalist Jeff Bebe, Billy Crudup plays the guitarist Russell Hammond, Mark Kozelek plays bass guitarist Larry Fellows, and John Fedevich plays drummer Ed Vallencourt. They are portrayed as an up-and-coming rock band, touring with Black Sabbath as an opening act. The band is based on multiple popular bands from the 70s (when the film is set), including The Allman Brothers Band, Eagles, Led Zeppelin, and Lynrd Skynrd.
