About Stick In The Wheel
Stick In The Wheel is an English folk band based in London and headed by Ian Carter and Nicola Kearey, with Fran Foote on harmonies, Si Foote on percussion and Ellie Wilson on fiddle. The radical East London duo are known for their intense live shows exploring the raw holler of folk, synths, spoken word and intricate guitar fuzz. They present full-force reworkings of centuries-old work-songs with fragments of ancient texts that speak to contemporary issues of class – an inherently political act.
