His unique style of southern fried power pop has earned comparisons to Matthew Sweet, John Mayer, Pete Yorn, and Duncan Sheik. Born and raised in Georgia, Steve began his musical career swinging his Les Paul Deluxe around fronting a 10-piece R&B band called Hugo Agogo who played with The Beach Boys, The Shirelles, Sam & Dave and Percy Sledge.
