Described as "too punk for rock, and too rock for punk," their dirty, sleaze driven music never crossed over to mainstream success, which could have also been due to the rise of grunge in the early 90's. The band is named after The Rolling Stones song "Star Star," as evidence that their official website's address is star fucker star, a lyric in the song.
