This album was a key event in creating a bossa nova craze in the United States and, subsequently, internationally. Short bios Stan Getz (born Stanley Gayetzky February 2, 1927 in Philadelphia - died June 6, 1991 in Malibu, California) was an American jazz musician. He is considered one of the greatest tenor saxophone players of all time.
