About Stabsmusikkorps Der Bundeswehr
The Stabsmusikkorps der Bundeswehr (StMusKorpsBw, literally Staff Band of the Federal Armed Forces) is the main representative brass band of the modern German military, the Bundeswehr, stationed in Berlin. It fulfills ceremonial duties as part of the Berlin Garrison Command, including playing national anthems and review marches for receptions of foreign leaders and ambassadors and performing traditional military rituals such as the Große Zapfenstreich (great tattoo) together with the Wachbataillon (guard battalion).
