
"Spider" John Koerner (born in Rochester, New York, on 31 August 1938, ; died 18 May 2024) was an American guitarist, singer, and songwrite remembered as a guitarist and vocalist for the blues trio Koerner, Ray & Glover (that included Dave Ray and Tony Glover) and for his albums as a solo performer and with collaborator Willie Murphy ("Spider" John Koerner & Willie Murphy). Koerner grew up in Rochester, New York, and after a brief military service attended the University of Minnesota.
