Spasmodium is an independent, one-man band from Halls, Tennessee formed in 2005 by singer-songwriter Josh Ward. Only 16 at the time of his first recordings and demos, he still continues to pursue and entertain an underground following in the Lauderdale and Dyer county areas. Reminiscent of a latter-day Pearl Jam with the anger and ferocity of an earlier Nirvana, Spasmodium is alternative-folk grunge for those who tire of the stagnate Nickelback-esque sound pervading the airways in today's "alternative rock" scene.
