About Sophie Janna
Sophie Janna is a songwriter from the Netherlands. She learned to play traditional folk music from Scotland and Ireland when she lived in Edinburgh. Soon after her return to the Netherlands, she was asked as a vocalist for a project with Flemish-Dutch folk group Hot Griselda. They recorded an album together called Tinderbox. In 2014, Sophie Janna released a solo album with traditional folk songs. The album, Laurels, was recorded in Paris with Upcycled Sounds (Niko Brian).
