About Something Different
Something Different mixes improvisational grooves, funk, rock, jazz, world beat and psychedelic jams to create their "far-out" California sound. The band was founded in 1997 by twin brothers, Ryan (guitar) and Erin Cassidy (drums) along with bass player Kevin Kotaka and Mark on percussion. During the first two years as a band, the guys attended Humboldt State University while performing at local bars, clubs and festivals. Taking a wild journey and exploring new ground.
