
About Solly Moholo
Solomon Majafela Molokoane (April 15, 1959 – October 2, 2024), best known as Solly Moholo, was a South African gospel singer, ANC member, and devout follower of the Zion Christian Church (ZCC). He was known for his unique blend of traditional gospel sound and modern township influences. Moholo rose to national fame following the release of his breakthrough album Ba Mmitsa Tsotsi in 2001. Born and raised in the township of Soshanguve in Pretoria, Gauteng, Solly Moholo grew up in a deeply religious Christian family.
