Sods were the first punk band of Denmark (though they released records on England's Step Forward label—home also to the Fall and the Cortinas). They were followed by acts like No Knox and Bollocks; in the beginning of the 80s they changed their name to Sort Sol, Danish for "Black Sun." There was also a The Sods from Worthing, England that put out two singles in 1979. Aggressive, keyboard-driven diy punk in the mode of other UK bands from that time: Spherical Objects, Autopilot, Reducers.
