1) Smooth J is a Japanese pianist whose instrumental music also contains elements of hip hop, jazz, and samples taken from Japanese pop culture. 2) Smooth J (Jules Poirier, born July 2, 1991) is a rapper from Montreal, Quebec. He composed his first single, Le Dernier Souffle in 2005 and performed it live at Musique Plus the year after.
