About Smiling Knife

Smiling Knife are an all female trio from London and Brighton, UK. They are hard to categorise but indie-pop-folk-noir is about as close as it gets. Their 2nd album 'Bloom In The Dark' drops in December 2013 and is a collection of stories about love, life and the counter terrorist unit. Expect personal lyrics, dramatic arrangements and sublime close harmonies. Influences include Leonard Cohen, Martha Wainwright, Goldfrapp, Ute Lemper and Patti Smith. Their appeal is a little quirky, something they are very proud of!
