There is more than one band with this name. 1. Smaug is a band from Colorado Springs/Denver, CO and plays traditional heavy metal under the influence many 70's Hard Rock, New Wave of British Heavy Metal and True Doom bands. They have shared the stage with many bands including Trouble, Lord Weird Slough Feg, Fu Manchu and Try Redemption. The band was formed in 2005 by Ty Earls and Jeff 'Effe' Montoya. In July 2008 Ty left the band. The current line-up is: Alton (vocals)
