About Sleeping Pictures
Sleeping Pictures was a British dark-folk duo comprising Marc Blackie (previously in Defacato and subsequently in Lark Blames and as These Papercuts) and Gary Parsons who met whilst both living in South London in the mid-ninties. Their music was initially noisy/experimental, but following chance meetings, concerts and collaborations the pair began a fitful affair with the neo-folk genre, which saw the release of their first album "Nether Edge", with contributions from Hunter Barr, John Murphy, Renée Rosen, Tony Wakeford and Matt Howden.
