About Sleeping Dogs Wake
Sleeping Dogs Wake was formed in 1987 by Karin Sherret and Robert Wilcocks. The duo had collaborated together across several years before finally creating the band that would shape their future. The concept was simple: post punk avant-garde fury! In 1989 Sleeping Dogs Wake released their first single, “Toys For Alice” which was voted “Single of the week” in the then popular magazine, Sounds. Two highly acclaimed albums followed; first “Understanding” in 1989, and then “Threnody” in 1990.
