About Sixpeopleaway
Sixpeopleaway is the musical project of Alistair Merrick (vocals/guitar) and Robert Hitchen (bass/backing vocals). Together they produce angular acoustic guitar and vocal-led songs with laptop-generated beats and sounds. After being named Your Sound Artist Of The Month in November 2006, sixpeopleaway released their self-titled debut EP in July 2007. The release was named Single Of The Fortnight by The List and Single Of The Week by Jim Gellatly, resulting in lead track Providence being playlisted by XFM Scotland.
