About Simon Crum
The Unpredictable Simon Crum collects ten sides by the comedy persona of country star Ferlin Husky, originally released on singles between 1955-1963. Husky affected a particular silly voice for his Crum recordings, although the sideline also allowed him to exercise his skill at celebrity impressions. He does a great Ernest Tubb on the hit "Country Music Is Here to Stay," and a funny if flawed imitation of Red Sovine and Webb Pierce on "Little Red Webb.
