About Silke Bischoff
Silke Bischoff was a darkwave / gothic / synth trio from Germany. The band's name comes originally from a hostage killed in the "Gladbecker Geiseldrama" in 1988. However, Felix Flaucher had deliberately chosen the name as a tribute to Silke Bischoff, whose death would have been avoidable if the hostage-taking had not been characterized by sensationalist media hype and police failure. After a legal dispute in 2002 with third member Axel the then-duo got renamed as 18 Summers.
